Paul Kealy's play of the day at Cheltenham
Captain Tom Cat has won seven of his 12 starts when running on good ground, and with it drying at Cheltenham he should have his perfect conditions.
He was dropped 5lb for his run in the Old Roan Chase last time, which is pretty generous for just one run from a seven-year-old, and Captain Tom Cat has plenty of decent form at Cheltenham.
His form figures at the track are 133F, and he'd have gone close in the 2m Grade 2 novice at this meeting last year if he hadn't fallen at the last when starting to rally against a faltering Third Time Lucki (jumped fine, knuckled on landing).
Third Time Lucki is not as good as it looked like he was going to be, but he is still rated 151, and Captain Tom Cat, who was conceding him 2lb, runs off just 140 here.
He has plenty of other form in the book to suggest he's better than that, too.
