Paul Kealy isn't banking on Altior in his Kempton Placepot perm

Credit: Edward Whitaker

Chepstow would make most appeal for Placepot purposes should it go ahead, but it's looking doubtful, so I'll settle for a small perm at Kempton.

In the opener (12.45), Her Indoors sets a decent standard on her debut second in Listed company at Aintree, where she was quite weak in the market, perhaps because the ground was very soft.

She won on good ground on the Flat, and although rain is forecast it will still likely be better than at Aintree. There may be a few interesting ones against her, but I doubt three will keep her out of the frame.

Shishkin should make it 2-2 in the next (1.20), but leg three (1.55) is much more competitive.

Midnightreflection was impressive when scoring at Plumpton last time and has to go in, but so does Regarding Ruth, who beat her at Warwick and is now much better off at the weights.

In leg four (2.30) I'm not entirely sure about Altior given Nicky Henderson's reluctance to run him under perfectly reasonable conditions at Sandown.

You can't leave him out, but I want some cover and Duc Des Genievres could be a player getting 6lb if he settles a bit better. Global Citizen should ensure he gets a good pace.

Double Shuffle and Royale Pagaille are my two in the competitive handicap chase (3.05), while in the last (3.40) race regular Eddiemaurice (form figures 5213) has to go in and is joined by Hang In There, who will appreciate the drop in trip.
