The addition of blinkers has helped things click for Pinball Wizard and he can add another C&D success to his record. Puerto De Vega drops in trip for his stable debut but he looks on a very fair mark and may provide the stiffest resistance.

Preference is for Makanah who should be 3-3 at this venue, having suffered bad luck on his most recent visit. He won this race 12 months ago and holds solid claims back here. Hat-trick seeker Roulston Scar may prove the biggest threat on recent evidence but El Astronaute and 2019 winner Tarboosh are other likely dangers judged on their best form.

3.25: Twilight Secret

Top of the list is the lightly raced three-year-old Twilight Secret, who showed a good attitude when justifying favouritism over C&D on his recent handicap debut and is open to further progress off only 2lb higher here. Ed Walker's hat-trick seeker Mount Mogan is feared most, though Hello Me was a creditable third in his bid for a double at York last time and should give it another good shot back on AW.

2.05: Sayf Al Dawla

This looks quite competitive but there is no strong temptation to oppose well-bred colt Sayf Al Dawla, who won a 1m2f Salisbury novice quite comfortably last month and has considerable scope for further improvement. Reina Del Mar has plausible excuses for both defeats since her winning handicap debut in June and is next on the list, ahead of Jawhary and Colonial Love.
