Monday's free racing tips: our experts give their best bet of the day

Handicappers' nap

Southern Rock (3.20 Ripon)

Progressive form this year since joining David O'Meara. Latest course-and-distance form reads well and has every chance of winning again.

Newmarket nap

Crossed Baton (4.15 Epsom)

Has been mixing it with last week's York winner Logician at home of late and this previous course winner could dominate these.
David Milnes

Eyecatcher

Bodyline (3.45 Chepstow)

Got off the mark with something left in tank at Epsom, despite having done plenty wrong. That course can't have been ideal and he did take a while to pull up afterwards, so there should be a lot more to come yet from this well-bred colt.
Raceform

Our analysts from Raceform find eyecatchers at all meetings in the UK and Ireland, every day. Essential subscribers can read their expert view on every race

Speed figures

Light Up Our Stars (4.50 Epsom)

Has improved his speed figure on each of his three runs this season and can supplement earlier Chepstow gains from the bottom of the handicap.
Dave Edwards

Spotlights nap

Sonja Henie (2.30 Epsom)

Made all to land a gamble at Wolverhampton on her stable debut two weeks ago and she found more progress on the drop to 6f when a clear second under a penalty at Windsor last Monday. Well treated off 1lb lower here and she is a big player.
David Moon

Dark horse

C'Est No Mour (3.40 Epsom)

One of his two course-and-distance wins came in this race in 2017 off a mark of 81. He hasn't won in 19 attempts since, but comes here 5lb lower than that last victory and the booking of Simon Walker is positive.
Ben Harris

Irish angle

Just A Normal Day (5.10 Downpatrick)

Successful over 2m4f at Kilbeggan on his most recent start, the Dot Love-trained nine-year-old can follow up here off only a 4lb higher mark.
Tony O'Hehir

Must-have stat of the day

Southwell is often a track for specialists and Roger Fell's Zylan is just that. He's run at the course over sprint trips six times and won on five occasions. He returns to the Fibresand in the 3.35.
