'This has been the plan for a long time and he won well in his prep' - connections on their Welsh Grand National chances
Nigel Twiston-Davies, trainer of Broadway Boy and The Newest One
It's early days so we're not sure if we'll go yet. Broadway Boy ran well in the Coral Gold Cup but we'll have to see whether he's right closer to the race. I'm very hopeful though. The Newest One could be a good horse for the race and he'll have a low weight. The longer trip could help him.
Sam Thomas, trainer of Jubilee Express, Iwilldoit and Good Risk At All
Jubilee Express isn't quite A1 but the Welsh National is the long-term plan. Off 126 it's touch and go whether he'd get in, but hopefully he will. Good Risk At All will run on Saturday in the Welsh National trial and he's in really good form. Fingers crossed we can get back on track with him. Iwilldoit could run this weekend, although he doesn't necessarily need to.
Gary Moore, trainer of Nassalam
The Welsh National is the plan but he's been disappointing this season and I'm a bit worried that the race took its toll when he won it last season. But we know the race suits him well, just as long as they get rain.
