Leicester Placepot picks: Mark Brown gives his perm from the Midlands track

A tough opening leg (1.25) with 17 declared for a wide-open nursery, we'll take three against the field. The rock-solid Aira Force, placed from this mark on his last start, and a pair of handicap debutants in Phoenix Glow and Ice'O'Lation.

The second leg (2.00) is a nursery also but has a more friendly feel to it, with Oriental Dancer making plenty of appeal on this first run in a handicap.

River Usk, runner-up in a similar race over course-and-distance last time, can be added for safety, but in the following contest (2.35) we need only take one in Power Of Gold, who showed a deal of promise on debut at Ayr.

The fourth leg (3.10) looks straightforward, with well-handicapped pair Kenzai Warrior and Just Fine standing out, while the bang in-form Eeh Bah Gum, along with old rival Stone Circle, complete the line-up for leg five (3.45) of our perm.

We're faced with another big field in the last leg (4.20). Topweight Strike has been progressing well and, down in trip, this promises to be run to suit, while there's little reason why consistent filly Miss Bella Brand won't be in contention once more.
