Justin O'Hanlon with the best bets from a high-class card at Navan
Plenty of class acts take their chance at Navan at the start of another stellar weekend of jump racing in Ireland, and the two big handicaps on the card are sure to be popular with punters.
The Grade B eCOMM Merchant Solutions Handicap Hurdle (1.08) is a cracking contest and very few of these can be discounted. Willie Mullins runs no less than seven in this, with Paul Townend taking the ride on Sayo. A couple of his are coming back from lengthy enough absences, which is normally not much to worry about with a horse from Closutton, and perhaps that can work to the advantage of Low Sun.
A high-class horse, he has proved to be a versatile one too, winning big handicap hurdles at Fairyhouse and Galway in 2018 over 2m and 2m7f before putting up his finest performance in landing the Cesarewitch at Newmarket.
