1pt each-wayThe last time Jeremy Noseda won Doncaster’s opening British Stallion Studs EBF ‘Carrie Red’ Fillies’ Nursery Handicap (1.50) he did so with a filly whose next two starts were placed efforts in Grade 1s in America, latterly at the Breeders’ Cup.

It’s highly doubtful Noseda’s Group 2 Rockfel Stakes entry is going to prove anywhere near as good as 2015 winner Nemoralia, but there are grounds for thinking she will prove miles ahead of a handicap mark of just 79.

There’s no doubt her first two maiden runs represent strong form as when she was a three-length sixth on her debut at Newmarket in July she was only just over two lengths behind the only other debutant to finish in the first half-dozen, Yourtimeisnow, who won a Group 3 at Salisbury last week and is now rated 102.
