Graeme Rodway's banker at Ayr on Saturday
Hala Hala Athmani
3.05 Ayr
This half-sister to the stable's dual Group 1 winner Hello Youmzain justified 11-8 favouritism on her debut in a 6f fillies' maiden at Carlisle last month and did it in some style, scoring by five and a half lengths.
She stormed up the hill to win going away and recorded a Racing Post Rating of 90. That is 4lb higher than Hello Youmzain achieved when he won on his debut at the same course and Hala Hala Athmani looks every inch a Group 1 filly in the making.
She will need to improve on that debut effort to make this step up in grade, but this is only her second start and there could be any amount of further progress to come. It will be disappointing if she is beaten.
