Wolverhampton Placepot tips: Richard Birch provides his selections for a highly competitive card

Wolverhampton's card features the £50,000 Placepot guarantee and punters will need to solve several tricky puzzles to have a chance of winning it.

Pride Of Nepal, who has returned to top form in recent weeks, ought to go close in leg one (4.23), with the bigger-priced Bass Player also of some interest.

Invincible Crown, the epitome of consistency, looks one of the likelier types in leg two (4.55), comments which also apply to Son Of Wind. Both have favourable low draws.

Sky Advocate rates banker material in leg three (5.30) following his excellent fourth of 22 at the Curragh last time. He looks a most promising colt.

It might also prove wise to focus on Blue Secret in leg four (6.00). The William Haggas-trained filly had clearly been showing lots of ability at home prior to her Newbury debut in August when she was sent off 5-4 favourite.

Suite Francaise, who made a winning start to her career at Newcastle last month, and the twice-raced maiden Motabaah make most appeal in leg five (6.30).

A Pint Of Bear, drawn to attack from stall two, and Interestnpenalties, who goes from the inside stall, complete the perm in leg six (7.00).
