Wolverhampton Placepot tips: Richard Birch marks your card for the all-weather meeting

Bluebells Boy, who hails from the bang-in-form Darryll Holland stable, can dazzle in leg one (4.25) of the Wolverhampton Placepot, which carries a guaranteed £50,000 pool.

The sprinter is chasing a hat-trick following fluent victories at Lingfield and Brighton, and should prove hard to beat from stall five.

Good Banter, who shaped nicely on his Salisbury debut last month, is expected to have the last laugh in leg two (5.00), while Georginio and Yehudi appeal as likely improvers in leg three (5.30) now they tackle a nursery for the first time.

Pinball Wizard and course-and-distance winner Forever A Diamond stand out in leg four (6.00), with Next Second and Marcus taking the eye in leg five (6.30).

Harlington ran very well from off the pace at Bath last time, and is clearly capable of winning a minor handicap off his current mark.

That wasn’t the first time he had shaped with distinct promise, and it would be no surprise to see him attract plenty of market support in leg six (7.00).

Northstead Gardens has been running with credit on the all-weather recently, and should also play a part in the finish.
