Why this horse can win: free tips for all 11 televised races on ITV on Saturday
Our Racing Post Weekender tipsters pick out their best bets for Saturday's ITV Racing action from Wincanton, Doncaster and Aintree . . .
Killer Kane
1.09 Wincanton: BetMGM Conditional Jockeys' Handicap Chase, 2m4f
By Stuart Redding
Killer Kane didn't quite get home over three miles at Kempton last time out but that was an encouraging start to his season. It looked like he might justify favouritism in the home straight but was left behind on the run-in. He will enjoy this shorter trip and should be at peak fitness now.
Room Service
1.20 Doncaster: Livescore Bet Wentworth Stakes (Listed), 6f
By James Hill
Room Service has had a light campaign, his displays have been getting better with each run and he produced his best effort on Town Moor as a juvenile when winning the big sales race at the St Leger meeting last year. He has plenty going for him.

Harbour Lake
1.30 Aintree: Pertemps Network Handicap Hurdle (Series Qualifier), 3m½f
By James Hill
Ideally I'd pick a horse with a run under its belt but Hardbour Lake is the standout on form. His first-time-out record before last season read 11, while he's twice run well in Class 2 handicaps at this track over 2m4f. He improved for the step up to 3m last season and remains on a workable mark.
Mermaids Cave
1.45 Wincanton: BetMGM Richard Barber Memorial Mares' Handicap Hurdle, 2m5½f
By Sam Hardy
This in-form mare returned with victory at Bangor last month. She continues to climb the ranks and can strike off a nice weight for the in-form James Owen.
Coastguard Station
2.05 Aintree: BoyleSports Choose Wisely Handicap Chase, 2m
By Jack Haynes
There is plenty of pace in this 2m handicap chase, with Imperial Saint, Hunter Legend, Jack Holiday, Magistrato and Calgary Tiger among those who like to race prominently, and it could set up perfectly for Costguard Station. The Henry Oliver-trained chaser ran well enough when fourth in a better race at Cheltenham last time and can take advantage of a 2lb lower mark here.
Insurrection
2.23 Wincanton: Boodles Rising Stars Novices' Chase (Grade 2), 2m4f
By Stuart Redding
He ended last season with an all-the-way hurdles win at Hereford and only found one too strong when making his chase debut at Chepstow last month. His stablemate Knappers Hill finished runner-up in that race last year before winning this.
Outlaw Peter
2.40 Aintree: BoyleSports Grand Sefton Handicap Chase, 2m5f
By James Hill
His record off breaks of 100 days or more reads 2111 so I'm keen on him here on his reappearance. His form from last term is beginning to look smart, with the race at Sandown in which he finished second last time receiving some significant boosts.
Rubaud
2.55 Wincanton: BetMGM Elite Hurdle (Grade 2), 1m7f
By James Hill
Rubaud is preferred to Brentford Hope with conditions more in his favour. He made a winning return at Kempton last time and will have come on for that, and while he’s not the top-rated, he is 3lb below his peak mark and can win this for the second year running.
Diamond Rain
3.10 Doncaster: Virgin Bet Irish EBF Gillies' Stakes (Listed), 1m2f
By Sam Hardy
Having been off the track since finishing injured in the Ribblesdale, I find it interesting connections of Diamond Rain are taking their chance here. The filly is clearly talented having won her first two starts, and a winter campaign may be on the cards if she performs well.
Mofasa
3.30 Wincanton: 63rd Badger Beer Handicap Chase, 3m1f
By Sam Hardy
Mofasa was making progress for Paul Nicholls before a respiratory issue surfaced at Cheltenham a year ago. In his two runs since wind surgery he has disappointed, but is now well handicapped dropping back to a mark of 131. His last win came off a mark of 130 when easily beating Captain Morgs at Huntingdon early last year.
Master Builder
3.45 Doncaster: Virgin Bet November Handicap, 1m4f
By Stuart Redding
He’s made steady progress during his first season and added a second win when beating Contacto at Haydock in September. He was outstayed over 1m6f on soft ground at York last time but this slightly shorter trip on testing ground should be ideal.
