US racing tips: Shane Ketteridge with two selections from Gulfstream Park

Just A Care
8.48 Gulfstream Park
1pt win

Illuminare
9.51 Gulfstream Park
1pt win

A field of twelve fillies and mares are set to go to post for the Abundantia Stakes which takes place on the turf course and one who can go well is the Brian Lynch-trained filly Just A Care.

This daughter of Australia has a good record at this track. She has recorded form figures of 121 from three starts here and comes into this off the back of a gutsy allowance win at Keeneland in October.

She could take some catching if jockey Junior Alvarado can utilise her early speed and get the lead.

Todd Pletcher has won the Grade 3 Mr Prospector Stakes twice, with his first win being with Rare Rock in 1998, before adding to that tally with Coal Front in 2018, and he can strike again with the unexposed Illuminare.

He wasn’t seen on a track until June so connections have been patient with this three-year-old colt, who is making quite an impression with three wins from four starts.

Luis Saez’s mount was an easy winner of at Aqueduct last month and he remains an exciting prospect representing a powerful stable.
