Thursday's free racing tips: six horses to consider putting in your multiple bets

Thursday's best bets ranked in order of confidence by our top tipsters . . .

Handicappers' nap

Wen Moon (5.23 Pontefract)

This Ben Haslam-trained gelding has been placed on all three starts at Pontefract this year, including when runner-up in a Class 2 handicap over today's distance off 4lb higher in July. Can be forgiven his last two runs and looks interesting back at this lower level.

Eyecatcher

Classic Encounter (5.05 Newmarket)

Chased home smart handicapper Hand Of God here last autumn, and was entitled to need the run on his first outing for George Boughey last time. Looks fairly treated on his handicap debut.

Speed figures

Al Nayyir (3.55 Newmarket)

Globetrotting six-year-old who returned to Britain last month and beat all bar Vauban at York. He earned a personal best on the clock for that effort and can deservedly go one better.
