The Punt Acca: Stuart Langley's three horse racing tips at Wolverhampton on Tuesday
Three horses to include in a multiple on Tuesday
Kingmont (4.30 Wolverhampton)
With only six starts to her name, there could be more to come from Harry Eustace's runner. She got off the mark on her second start, over 1m3f at Kempton in April, and then had three attempts on turf. Those runs did not yield much in terms of results, and stumps were drawn after the last of them at Bath in June. She reappeared at the beginning of December when contesting a 1m2f Class 2 handicap at Lingfield. Given a prominent ride, she was a touch keen early on but kept up to her work, and that should stand her in good stead here.
Just A Spark (7.00 Wolverhampton)
Rod Millman's mare seems to like this time of year and could be ready to show that again. She rattled off a hat-trick in the first two months of last year, including twice over course and distance. After those runs she was given some tougher assignments but showed she could be competitive off similar marks to this one when a length second in the Fillies' And Mares' Championships Handicap at Newcastle in March. She returned to the track last month after a 220-day break in a decent Kempton handicap and although disappointing (race won by stablemate), that would have set her up nicely for this and a further drop to a mark of 83 will also help.
Ash Wednesday (8.30 Wolverhampton)
Heather Main’s four-year-old has yet to get off the mark after nine starts but he has been getting closer in recent runs. He started last season mainly over 6f but a decent third over 7f at Brighton in September was followed by a better effort over a mile at Kempton a month later. He was not seen again until Boxing Day when beaten by a nose. He did not have the cleanest of races that day, having got squeezed at the start which wasn't ideal for one who likes to be prominent, and then not getting a clear run when going best. This race does not look as competitive and is there for the taking.
