The Punt Acca: Robbie Wilders' three horse racing tips at Ascot on Saturday

Three horses to include in a multiple on Saturday

Jungle Boogie (1.50 Ascot)

A non-staying sixth in the Gold Cup after pulling too hard and with a bad error three out ending his chance, Jungle Boogie has to be of interest in this graduation chase. He should have no worries with this big drop back in trip and is as lightly raced as they come for a horse who is nearly 11. Soft ground is what he needs and the fact he was handed a King George entry suggests he is still held in high regard.

Hartur D’Arc (3.00 Ascot)

Gavin Cromwell’s British runners are always worth noting and he saddled the second in this last year. Hartur D’Arc is taken to go one place better. Cromwell often identifies a staying chaser or two who are capable of playing their hand in Britain’s leading handicap chases and Hartur D’Arc, who was caught out by the combination of fast ground and too sharp a test in the Paddy Gold Cup last time, should find this sort of race more to his enjoyment.

Secret Squirrel (3.35 Ascot)

Hughie Morrison has a strong association with this race and Secret Squirrel can pick up another success for the team. This horse caught the eye when third in the corresponding race at the Sodexo Gold Cup meeting, faring best of the held-up runners, and this has been the long-term aim. An improved display is expected off the same mark and this youngster remains at the right end of the handicap to make a slash. His profile is compelling.
