The Punt Acca: Matt Rennie's three horse racing tips from the Curragh and Epsom on Sunday

Three horses to include in a treble on Sunday . . .

Glittering Legend (2.20 Epsom)

This James Fanshawe-trained juvenile got off the mark at the second attempt last time and can take another step forward in this mile conditions contest. The son of Too Darn Hot bumped into subsequent top-level winner New Century on his debut at Doncaster, but he looked far better for the experience when winning at 20-1 at Goodwood last time. While the odds suggested that was a shock, the form is proving to be strong as the third, fourth and fifth have all won since. He was strong at the line that day and may be best equipped to handle this track.

My Mate Alfie (3.15 Curragh)

This Ger Lyons-trained gelding thrives over this course and distance and can do so again in the Group 3 Renaissance Stakes. The three-year-old has hit the frame in six of his seven starts at the track, with both wins coming over this 6f trip. He struck in a Listed contest in June, and was highly impressive in a competitive handicap at the Irish Champions Festival last time. He was a close third in a similar Group 3 here before then and looks primed to go well again.

Miller Spirit (3.30 Epsom)

The Gary and Josh Moore-trained four-year-old relished this course and distance last time and can do so again in the Apprentices' Derby. He has been generally consistent this year, with two wins at Goodwood also to his name, and thrived on the soft ground when taking the jump jockeys' equivalent over this track and trip this month. He's only 3lb higher for this and the ground will be testing again, which can only be in his favour.
