The Punt Acca: Matt Rennie has two more tips from Newmarket after 4-1 winner
Three horses to include in a treble on the final day of Newmarket's Cambridgeshire meeting on Saturday. . .
Wimbledon Hawkeye (1.50 Newmarket)
The James Owen-trained juvenile has run some admirable races in Group company recently and can be rewarded for that consistency in the Royal Lodge Stakes. The son of Kameko won his debut at Kempton in May then stepped up again when third in the Superlative Stakes behind leading 2,000 Guineas fancy Ancient Truth. He improved once more when a solid second behind The Lion In Winter in the Acomb Stakes at York's Ebor meeting, finishing two places ahead of Thursday's Group 3 winner The Waco Kid. The ninth, Yaroogh, has won since too and the step up to a mile should bring out even more in him.
Babouche (2.25 Newmarket)
The Juddmonte-owned filly is already a Group 1 winner and can land another race at the highest level in the Cheveley Park Stakes. Trained by Ger Lyons, she is unbeaten in three starts and was a mightily impressive winner of the Phoenix Stakes at the Curragh last month. The form of that has already been boosted given Whistlejacket, the leading Middle Park fancy, went on to win the Prix Morny and at this 6f trip, she should have enough to deny Lake Victoria.
Whistlejacket (3.00 Newmarket)
The Aidan O'Brien-trained juvenile sets the clear form standard in this and can take this below-par running of the Middle Park. The son of No Nay Never has been generally consistent in his six starts, with the only disappointment coming at Royal Ascot, and bounced back from defeat in the Phoenix Stakes when landing the Group 1 Prix Morny last time. None of the rivals he faces can match that level of form, and this looks a golden opportunity to gain another triumph at the highest level.
