The Punt Acca: Matt Rennie's three horse racing tips from Kempton and Southwell on Monday
Three horses to include in a treble on Monday. . .
Heathcliff (1.50 Kempton)
This progressive three-year-old tends to save his best efforts for this track and can strike here again in the 7f handicap. Trained by James Fanshawe, he has exclusively raced on the all-weather and boasts course form figures of 1312, including striking over this course and distance. He was far from disgraced when second in a similar contest to this over 6f last time and the step back up in trip should suit him to a tee. He could still be well treated off a 2lb higher mark.
Military Academy (2.20 Kempton)
This three-year-old remains deeply unexposed and looks to have a solid opportunity to get a Listed win in the bag in a weak running of the Floodlit Stakes. Trained by John and Thady Gosden, he impressively won his first two starts in the summer before being put in his place in a similar contest to this at Newmarket last time. However, he didn't seem to handle the track well that day and this far more conventional course should suit. He also showed signs of inexperience that day still and has more progression left in him than his rivals.
Coup De Force (6.45 Southwell)
This mare puts her best feet forward at Southwell and can maintain her perfect record there in the 6f handicap. Trained by Stuart Kittow, she has struck on both of her visits to the Nottinghamshire track, including when obliging by three-quarters of a length in October. She subsequently went on to finish fifth at Kempton in her hat-trick bid, but was too keen. If she settles, she can go close off just 3lb higher than her last winning mark.
