The Punt Acca: Matt Rennie's three horse racing tips from Dundalk and Newcastle on Friday

Three horses to include in a treble on Friday. . .

Parkland (4.45 Newcastle)

This Andrew Balding-trained four-year-old has some really smart form in the book and should he bounce back to that, he could take a lot of beating. He has been winless in three starts so far, but notably finished second behind Notable Speech at Kempton a year ago, with the winner boosting that form handsomely in the 2,000 Guineas and Sussex Stakes. He was last seen finishing seventh at Doncaster in late May, but the form of that has been strong too and if fit after a long absence, could have a class edge.

Clarita (5.00 Dundalk)

Gavin Cromwell has turned to an apprentice jockey in Sam Coen to claim on this four-year-old, which could prove vital. This filly is already twice a course-and-distance winner in her career, including on her penultimate start off a mark of 75. She shaped with credit when fifth over the track and trip subsequently, but crucially Coen's 7lb claim means that she effectively races off just 1lb higher than her last winning mark.

Oriental Prince (5.15 Newcastle)

This Jim Goldie-trained four-year-old has been in flying form on the all-weather this winter and can thrive now dropped back to the 5f minimum trip. He knocked off two wins over the course and distance in late December and this month, before he was narrowly beaten when stepped up to 6f here eight days ago. He is due to go up 3lb in the future, but Amie Waugh takes off a crucial 3lb claim too and the drop back in trip will only play to his strengths.
