The Punt Acca: Matt Rennie's three horse racing tips from Ayr, Galway and Redcar on Monday

Three horses to include in a treble on Monday . . .

Mississippi River (1.30 Galway)

This regally bred two-year-old saw his encouraging efforts get a big form boost on Sunday and looks primed to get off the mark at the third attempt in the 7f maiden. A son of Lope De Vega out of Group 1-winning mare Cursory Glance, he has kept on without threatening in his first two starts when third at Naas last month before finishing second at Leopardstown nine days ago. The winner that day, Twain, has since landed a Group 1 in France impressively and he might have bumped into a top-class star that day. He should outclass these rivals.

Travail D'Orfevre (3.28 Ayr)

This eight-year-old tends to save some of his best efforts for when he is fresh and looks primed for a big run on his comeback. Trained by Nick Alexander, he won off a 3lb lower mark after a 214-day layoff on his return last season and went on to finish in the top three in six subsequent starts, including finishing second five times. He runs for the first time in 187 days since he was runner-up at Perth in April, goes off the same mark of 105 and is versatile trip-wise too.

Thunder Roar (3.40 Redcar)

This five-year-old usually saves his best for when the mud is flying and can strike as he makes a rapid return in the mile handicap. Trained by Tony Coyle and Kaine Wood, he has been kept busy by running for times in a month and has finished second in three of those efforts, including when beaten a nose at York and at Doncaster on Saturday. He goes again after just two days away from the track but crucially goes off the same mark of 86. Connections are trying to make hay while they can and provided the swift comeback doesn't have a big effect, he is a solid bet.
