The Punt Acca: Matt Rennie's three horse racing tips from Ascot, Catterick and Newcastle on Friday

Three horses to include in a treble on Friday . . .

Celtic Dino (1.30 Ascot)

This five-year-old can continue his rapid progression with victory in this 1m7½f hurdle contest. Trained by Sam Thomas, he has only been beaten once in his career, when a good third in a Listed bumper at this track last December, and made a hugely impressive hurdles bow at Wincanton last month. The form of that is working out well with the runner-up, third and fourth all winning since. He can give main rival Joyeuse 7lb and a beating.

Dream Jet (1.50 Catterick)

This six-year-old might be more exposed now, but he still looks well-treated to go close again in the 2m3f handicap chase. Trained by Brian Ellison, he's only finished out of the frame once in his last seven starts and reversed the form with The Churchill Lad when impressively scoring at Hexham a fortnight ago. He's only been put up 4lb for that and while he's been busy, he remains in terrific form.

Bergerac (5.15 Newcastle)

This Kevin Ryan-trained six-year-old does very well in big-field handicaps at this level and can strike again at the track in the feature 5f handicap. A winner at York's Ebor meeting in 2022, two of his last three victories have come over this course and distance and ran huge races when sixth in the Portland Handicap and third in the Ayr Silver Cup the last twice. He's been put up just 1lb for his latest effort and returns to a track he thrives at.
