No But I Will (4.20 Sedgefield)

This eight-year-old has threatened a return to his best recently and can do so in the 2m5f handicap chase. Trained by Robbie Llewellyn, he is yet to win in five starts for his new trainer, but has shown glimpses of his old form the last twice at Taunton, including when going down by just a neck there over 2m. He's been nudged up 3lb for that effort, but that hasn't kicked in yet and he runs off the same mark of 105, which is 10lb below his last winning mark. The trip will be no issue as he's won over 3m before, while a sound surface should play to his strengths too.

Commanding Prince (6.30 Newcastle)

This four-year-old showed a willing attitude to get his head in front last time and he can make it back-to-back course successes in the mile novice. The son of Too Darn Hot was beaten only a head over 7f on his debut at Southwell, but he improved markedly from that when beating a last-time-out winner comfortably by two and three-quarter lengths at this track ten days ago. He shoulders a 7lb penalty for that, but he has the scope to improve and the Archie Watson yard is operating at a healthy 29 per cent strike-rate in the last fortnight.

Miss Attitude (7.00 Newcastle)

Jack Channon's runners have been flying lately and this five-year-old could have plenty more scope to improve on this surface in the feature 5f handicap. A three-time winner on turf, she was far from disgraced in some hot handicap company at Glorious Goodwood and York's Ebor festival in the summer and returned from a 195-day break with a narrow victory at Southwell this month. That was against race-fit rivals, so she can cope with a 3lb rise for that and four of Channon's six runners this month have won at a strike-rate of 67 per cent.
