Invited (1.22 Southwell) 

Returns to the track after a 146-day layoff, now running for George Boughey. He has the best piece of form in the field, finishing a length behind subsequent Group 2 winner Ancient Truth over this distance. Midnight City is the only other runner here with a mark. Rated 4lb lower than Invited, he has had a couple of runs at Southwell recently but has been beaten twice by average opposition. The others with experience would need to improve considerably to beat Invited.

Charlatan (3.55 Southwell)

David Simcock's five-year-old looked to have the race won last time but had it stolen in the final few yards. He’s down to a mark he can be competitive off and has every chance to go one better. Callum Shepherd has been aboard for all three of this horse’s wins, and he is back in the saddle. 

Brigadier Kakuru (4.30 Dundalk) 

Scored in a handicap over course and distance last time, comfortably making all. The form of that race has worked out well, with both the second and fourth winning since. He is rated just 1lb lower than the top-rated horse Tommy McJohn, who has run two disappointing races on the all-weather. Brigadier Kakuru looks set to lead and dictate things from the front again.
