The Punt Acca: Lee Sharp's three horse racing tips at Sedgefield and Warwick
Three horses to include in a multiple on Tuesday . . .
Will Knott (2.10 Sedgefield)
Just four go to post in this novice hurdle, with two of them yet to jump a hurdle, so this looks to be a match between last-time-out winners Will Knott and Charging Thunder. It would be hard to give any significance to Charging Thunder's win at Fakenham. To say it was a mess would be an understatement, with the second favourite, Ronnie's Rules, slipping and unseating the rider before the third. A few other loose horses also caused a mess, and Charging Thunder's jumping was not impressive. Course winner Will Knott has plenty more experience and looked much more natural when winning over hurdles at the fourth time of asking last time.
God's Own Getaway (3.00 Warwick)
The Skelton team have had a fantastic start to the season, churning out winners all over the country. They have several runners at Warwick, and God's Own Getaway has a big chance. The six-year-old has two wins out of six starts over fences, with two seconds also to his name. He’s had a couple of runs this season; definitely needing the first one, and was then going well but lacked a finishing effort on his second when tried at three miles for the first time. He's back down to two and a half miles her, a distance over which he is proven. He’s only 3lb higher than his gutsy win at Market Rasen in May and has the form to win this
Gris Maejur (3.35 Warwick)
Looked back to his best when scoring at Hereford three weeks ago. That was only his second run after a 549-day absence, and connections were clearly hopeful second time around, booking top jockey Sean Bowen for the ride. He obliged and won by half a length, with the front two pulling 19 lengths clear of the rest of the field. He's gone up 6lb for that, but a repeat performance should give him an excellent chance here, as he is potentially still well-handicapped.
