The Punt Acca: Laurence Morter's three horse racing tips at Southwell and Uttoxeter on Tuesday

Accidental Legend (12.12 Uttoxeter)

Accidental Legend enjoyed a very good season last year with a number of eyecatching performances, most noteworthy being his course-and-distance win at Uttoxeter when last seen in April, bringing his record at the track to three wins from three. He has been put up 7lb for that win but should remain competitive off this mark. He acts well in softer ground, so today’s conditions should suit and he has every chance to continue his streak.

Jingko Blue (1.42 Uttoxeter)

Jingko Blue did remarkably well last season, capped with a fine win under top weight at Sandown in February. However, he looked slightly out of his depth in the Baring Bingham at Cheltenham, giving jockey Nico de Boinville a torrid time before being pulled up at the last fence. Connections have been talking about getting him over fences for a while, so the switch to chasing should suit. He is a big horse with plenty of potential and should go well. 

Kylian (6.00 Southwell)

Kylian won nicely last time at Newcastle, racing just behind the leaders he went through the gears quickly to pull clear in the closing stages to win fairly comfortably to take his all-weather record to two wins from two. He has been put up 7lb for his latest win, but he has a lot of pace and clearly acts well on the artificial surfaces, so it would be no surprise to see him bring up a hat-trick.
