The Punt Acca: Laurence Morter's three horse racing tips at Chepstow and Kempton on Wednesday

Three horses to include in a multiple on Wednesday . . .

French Ship (1.50 Chepstow)

After an impressive bumper career French Ship made his hurdling debut last month and looked at home running into a respectable second place. His jumping was solid throughout but he left himself a little too much to do turning for home leaving him no chance of catching the winner. However, he kept on well and showed a decent amount of pace to pull away from the rest. It was a solid start and he should improve for that. The step up in trip and better ground conditions should suit and he has every chance to go one better.

Speiriuil (3.30 Chepstow)

Speiriuil has been knocking on the door for some time with a string of decent runs, but is still to win. Of her five career runs she has finished second three times including last time at Uttoxeter. She is not always fluent with her jumping but always seems to keep herself in the frame as she seems to have plenty of stamina. Her consistent form suggests she will be in the mix again and, if she has developed over the summer, has a solid chance of getting that elusive first win now upped in trip.

Happy Hadeda (5.00 Kempton)

Happy Hadeda came back from an 11-month break with an empathic win at Kempton to take her all-weather record to two from two. She showed no rust at all racing at the back of the field, looking slightly detached, but she then demonstrated her searing pace in the final furlong to put the race to bed with plenty in hand. She has only been put up 3lb for that and another strong showing looks likely.
