Three horses to include in a multiple on Tuesday . . .

Homer Stokes (2.12 Catterick)

Homer Stokes has had a good season with a number of impressive performances, but what is most eyecatching is his record at Catterick. Since May he has had four runs at the track and has won three, with all of those wins coming on soft ground. He did just enough last time to hold on and take the win against a number of rivals who were dropping down in class. He has only been put up 2lb for that win and with similar conditions on offer again he should go well.

Al Waseela (5.00 Newcastle)

Al Waseela has been heavily campaigned in the second half of this season and finally got her first win last time. She had gone close a few times before that, but the addition of blinkers and softer ground seemed to bring out the best in her and she ran on well in the final furlong. She is stepping up in class but looks fairly treated and has a lot more experience than some of her rivals. She is progressing well and another strong display looks on the cards.

Barleybrown (5.30 Newcastle)

After not having much success earlier this year, Barleybrown has been doing well at the back end of this season with a number of impressive runs, including two course-and-distance wins at Newcastle. The turnaround in fortunes started last month with a stunning win in a Class 6 which was then followed up with a respectable third after not having things go his way. The step up to a Class 5 did not faze him last time and he won going away. He will have to defy a penalty, but is partnered again with Billy Loughnane, who seems to bring out the best in him.
