The Punt Acca: Harry Wilson's three horse racing tips from Windsor, Thirsk and Worcester on Monday
Three horses to include in a treble on Monday . . .
The Whipmaster (3.12 Windsor)
Had been out of form since finishing a neck second over course and distance last August but put in a much-improved performance on his first start since wind surgery at Lingfield last month, beaten just a length into third behind one who followed up by nine and a half lengths on his next start. Three of his seven wins have come at Windsor, the last twice over course and distance off a mark 6lb higher than he is here, and a good show is expected.
Midnight's Dream (4.20 Thirsk)
Hasn't been able to open his account in three runs, but has shown enough ability to think he's up to winning a weak contest like this. He was best of the rest behind the smart Night Raider at Southwell on his debut, with the now 98-rated Danielle a nose back in third, and hasn't had things go his way since, trying to come from too far back on testing ground in April before finding 6f an insufficient test at Salisbury last time (also hampered by a horse who unseated his jockey). This 125,000gns purchase, who is a half-sister to the useful White Lavender, should prove far better than an opening mark of 70.
Planet Legend (5.00 Worcester)
Planet Legend won twice as a juvenile hurdler last year before completely losing his form, but he was revitalised by a break and stepping up to three miles for the first time when going down by just a neck to Porter In The Park at Ludlow in April, and that form is strong given the winner is now rated 15lb higher, having won and finished second in a Class 2 handicap since. He was tackling the longest trip he's faced on ground too soft when third in a better race next time, but that form has worked out too, with the second bolting up since. He's been absent since May, but he's run well after a break before and should be up to taking advantage of this workable mark now going down in class and getting back on a sounder surface.
