The Punt Acca: Harry Wilson's three horse racing tips from Ascot, Haydock and Kempton on Saturday
Three horses to include in a treble on Saturday . . .
Master Builder (1.50 Haydock)
Master Builder showed good form in turf novices in the spring, notably winning by a head at Salisbury in May from Subsequent, who is now rated 95 having won three of his next four starts, and he displayed plenty of promise when third in the Melrose on his handicap debut last time. That run can be marked up as he had to take a pull when slightly short of room before staying on strongly to the line on ground that was probably a touch quick. He should be a major force off just 3lb higher.
Lion's Pride (2.35 Kempton)
Lion's Pride is 2-3 at Kempton, with the shorter trip a possible excuses for his Magnolia Stakes third, albeit that is strong form, with winner Dubai Honour since successful in a Group 1. His career-best Racing Post Rating came when running away with the Floodlit Stakes over course and distance in November, form that could hardly have worked out better, with the runner-up Measured Time winning two Group/Grade 1s and the third landing the Copper Horse Handicap, and a repeat of that should be good enough in receipt of 3lb from main rival Hamish.
Rohaan (3.55 Ascot)
Rohaan might not be the force of old, but he is still capable of high-class form and caught the eye when on the wrong side in Stewards' Cup last time. Sat last with two furlongs to go, he made up plenty of ground on the bridle on the outside and finished sixth in his group under a hands and heels ride. He much prefers the track at Ascot, where he is five from nine, but that record improves to five wins from five when competing outside of Group 1 company and he is 6lb lower than for his last victory over track and trip. He hasn't had many goes on soft ground, but he won the Group 2 Sandy Lane on heavy and his first Wokingham on soft, recording his career-best RPR in the process, and has shown much of his best form with cut underfoot. He will be seriously hard to beat here.
