The Punt Acca: Charlie Huggins' three horse racing tips at Carlisle and Wincanton on Thursday

Three horses to include in a multiple on Thursday . . .

Lord Accord (2.53 Wincanton)

Chased home Frodon off a 13lb higher mark in the Badger Beer Handicap Chase over this course and distance in 2022. The nine-year-old secured a confidence-boosting 16-length win over hurdles at Sedgefield last time and although he beat only one rival on his last start at this track and trip in February, there is substance to that form. The runner-up, Manothepeople, won a better race in a bigger field at Cheltenham on 7lb worse terms on his next start and the fourth, Fidux, also obliged on his next outing. The third-placed Copperhead has won twice since, including in a valuable event at Chepstow last Friday. Lord Accord is 4lb lower than that run here and represents trainer Neil Mulholland, who won Market Rasen's feature race on Tuesday before saddling another winner at Worcester on Wednesday.

La Marquise (3.07 Carlisle)

Dual bumper winner, whose third-placed effort in Aintree's mares' bumper is the standout piece of form in this contest. The fifth, seventh, 13th and 14th from that Grade 2 at the Grand National meeting have subsequently won over hurdles and La Marquise should follow suit. Testing ground should not be an issue as both of her victories came on soft and her seventh-placed effort at Cheltenham can be explained by an inadequate 1m6f trip. Dodger Long, who finished a place ahead of her at Cheltenham, has also won three times over hurdles since.

Ballynaheer (5.15 Wincanton)

Chased home Royal Infantry, a subsequent Listed winner who ran at the Cheltenham Festival for Dan Skelton, in a point-to-point at Edgcote in April last year. The five-year-old made all to win by seven lengths over hurdles at Huntingdon in April before making a promising reappearance and chasing debut at Uttoxeter last time. That staying-on third-placed effort came after wind surgery and this extra furlong should suit the son of Mahler. The majority of Ballynaheer's trainer David Dennis's string have been making the frame in the last fortnight and he could gain the yard a deserved victory here.
