I'm A Lumberjack (12.25 Warwick)

Has smart bumper form including when he chased home subsequent Gerry Feilden winner Navajo Indy at Newbury in November 2023. The five-year-old was also third behind Royal Infantry, who has since both of of his starts over hurdles, in a Listed bumper at the same track in February on heavy ground. I'm A Lumberjack was beaten only a short-head on his hurdling debut at Bangor and I agree with his trainer Alan King, who wrote in his Racing Post Weekender column that his runner will be suited by this step up in trip to 2m5f.

Bear Market (12.55 Warwick)

A half-brother to Follow The Bear, who won four races over hurdles for Nicky Henderson, who may have an even better prospect on his hands here. The five-year-old won a Bangor point-to-point before showing a great attitude to deny the strong-travelling Miami Magic by a head at Aintree. The runner-up has subsequently won both of his starts over hurdles by a combined 22 lengths and is highly regarded by his trainer Stuart Edmunds. There is some depth to this maiden hurdle with the likes of Jaccours, Aviation and Histrionic, but Bear Market could be hard to beat if he replicates his Aintree form on his first run since that success in May.

Betterforeveryone (3.00 Warwick)

Finished fourth behind subsequent Grand Sefton winner King Turgeon on his reappearance at Chepstow in October and the runner-up, Ajp Kingdom, struck by 15 lengths on his next outing. Leissieres Express, who was more than 36 lengths behind Betterforeveryone at Chepstow, also won at Exeter last Friday. The seven-year-old carrying top weight over this shorter 3m trip is not ideal, but the way the form of his last run has worked out is difficult to ignore.
