The Punt Acca: Charlie Huggins bids to follow up a 10-1 winner with three horse racing tips at Haydock on Monday

Lady In The Park (12.30 Haydock)

Has not really taken to fences this season but the form of her chasing debut fourth at Wetherby in October reads well as the runner-up has won twice since and the sixth has also won subsequently. Lady In The Park is 5lb better off than that respectable run when factoring in Patrick Wadge's claim for this return to hurdles. She was beaten only three-quarters of a length by Shoeshine Boy, who has won twice more off higher marks since, over this 3m½f trip in April and may go one better than that Ayr second here.

Glynn Brae (1.00 Haydock)

Made a successful stable debut for Nigel Twiston-Davies at Stratford in October after being bought for £130,000 by the trainer's son Willy for Anne-Marie and Jamie Shepperd. That victory came over 2m½f and his Leopardstown bumper win for Stuart Crawford was over a similar 2m trip. Therefore, excuses can be made for Glynn Brae finishing only sixth of nine in a 2m4f Aintree novice hurdle won by Mister Meggit and this drop back to 1m7½f should suit. The form of four-year-old's last run looks decent enough as the eighth-placed Ben Solo would have won his under a penalty at Ffos Las had he not bumped into Glynn Brae's smart stablemate Rosscahill on his next start. 

Montgomery (3.10 Haydock)

Venetia Williams has won three of the last seven runnings of this race and looks to have another ideal candidate in Montgomery. The seven-year-old ran well to finish fifth on his first attempt at this 3m4½f distance and has been left on an unchanged mark after that respectable effort in the London National. The son of Soldier Of Fortune was sent off the 2-1 favourite at Sandown last time, so is clearly thought to have more improvement over marathon trips after winning three handicap chases between 2m6½f-3m last season.
