The Punt Acca: Charlie Huggins bids to follow up 5-2 and 11-8 winners with three horse racing tips on Monday

Three horses to include in a treble on Monday . . .

Final Entry (3.50 Newton Abbot)

Made his debut in a Leopardstown maiden won by subsequent Queen's Vase runner-up and the now 107-rated Highbury before finishing third in a similar event at Tipperary on his final start for Jessica Harrington. The son of Galileo made a successful hurdling debut after being bought for 28,000gns by David Pipe when beating Kalkaroo by half a length over this course and distance in July. Kalkaroo won his next start by seven and a half lengths and Final Entry also beat Golden Path, who had won by five and a half lengths at the same track and trip on her previous start, by 29 and a half lengths — so the form looks strong. A respectable fifth behind John and Thady Gosden's Group 2 entry Beeley in a Ffos Las novice has kept him ticking over and the three-year-old looks capable of defying a 7lb penalty now back hurdling.

Call Blue (4.25 Newton Abbot)

Outperformed market expectations when finishing second of 15 after a 671-day absence at Stratford last month. The seven-year-old had made the frame on her previous three starts but given they were all in September and October 2022, it was understandable that she was sent off at 22-1 last time. However, Call Blue showed no signs of rustiness, beaten only by Mary, who was competing off a career-low mark of 95 having previously finished third in both a Cheltenham bumper and a Listed Newbury mares' novice hurdle. A 3lb rise should not necessarily prevent Call Blue from going one better as the fifth-placed Razzo Italiano struck off a 3lb higher mark in another 15-runner Stratford contest on Saturday. The selection beat Razzo Italiano by seven and a half lengths so, providing she does not bounce on her second start in 13 days after a lengthy layoff, she should go close to getting off the mark for Nigel Twiston-Davies.

The Expensive One (5.00 Newton Abbot)

The Expensive One could complete a double for Twiston-Davies if building on the promise of his debut at Newbury in January. The four-year-old was sixth in a bumper from which the runner-up, fourth and ninth have all won since. That form looks stronger than what main market rival Alan De Banks has achieved, despite Peter and Michael Bowen's runner having form figures of 12, especially given that Newbury winner Roysse had finished fourth behind subsequent Grade 2 Aintree bumper winner Horaces Pearl on his debut. The fact that the son of Harzand receives 2lb from Alan De Banks is an added bonus.
