The Punt Acca: Charlie Huggins bids to follow up 17-2 and 9-4 winners with three horse racing tips on Thursday

Three horses to include in a multiple on Thursday . . .

Nickelforce (1.40 Ludlow)

Made a successful chasing debut at Stratford last month and that form has been franked by the third-placed Begin The Luck winning a 12-runner event at the same track last Saturday. Nickelforce beat Begin The Luck by five and three-quarter lengths and should be able to cope with a 6lb rise, especially with the form his trainer Ben Case is in. Two of Case's last three runners have won and all of his last four runners have made the frame, including a 28-1 shot making his seasonal debut, so his string is clearly in good nick. Case's son Charlie, who has partnered winners in New Zealand, at Ascot and more recently at Stratford's hunter chase evening in May, takes the ride in the amateur jockeys' event.

La Marquise (2.10 Ludlow)

Dual bumper winner who was last seen finishing third in Grade 2 company at the Grand National meeting. The fifth, seventh, 13th and 14th from that Aintree event have all won over hurdles since, and La Maquise should do likewise here. The mare receives weight from all but one of her 11 rivals on her hurdling debut and the four-year-old's trainer Jamie Snowden is enjoying a decent run of form, with three winners from his last six runners.

Geturguccion (2.45 Ludlow)

Bought for £100,000 after placing in a couple of Irish points and was beaten only a neck by Jasmine Bliss on her rules debut at Newbury in March. The winner had the benefit of more experience than the selection, having won a point and a Wetherby bumper among her previous starts. Therefore, Guturguccion did well to get as close to the winner and beat subsequent two-time hurdles winner Not Now Nathaniel by six and half lengths in the process. The five-year-old admittedly did disappoint when sent off 4-1 for a Cheltenham bumper the following month, beating only one of her 17 rivals. The daughter of Getaway did not pick up in the straight after being held up behind a wall of horses but I am willing to forgive that effort. The extra half-mile should suit here and she could potentially be overpriced for her hurdling debut.
