The Punt Acca: Charlie Huggins bids to follow up 13-2 and 11-8 winners with three horse racing tips at Warwick

Three horses to include in a treble on Saturday . . .

Captain Marvellous (1.23 Warwick)

Last seen finishing third in the Grade 2 Adonis Juvenile Hurdle and is an eyecatching first ride back from injury for champion jockey Harry Cobden. Captain Marvellous is Cobden's only mount on his return from a small ligament tear and the fact it is his first ride for trainer Jane Williams could indicate that connections feel their four-year-old has a strong chance. Givemefive, who finished a place ahead of Captain Marvellous at Kempton, was fourth in a Fairyhouse Grade 2 won by subsequent Punchestown festival runner-up Bottler'secret. The Adonis form looks solid while Billytherealbigred, who Captain Marvellous beat by 25 and a half lengths last season, has progressed 25lb in the handicap after completing a hat-trick since.

Lady Jago (2.23 Warwick)

Rathcannon point-to-point winner who was sent off a 4-1 joint-favourite for her rules debut at Aintree last October. She managed only seventh on that occasion but stepped up from that run when third at Ludlow in January. The winner, Bellas Bridge, went on to finish fifth in a Listed event and runner-up Roaring Home finished a place ahead of Lady Jago again at Ascot on their next start. Roaring Home went on to be beaten only half a length by Gale Mahler,  a winner of her next five starts including a Listed contest at the Galway festival, so that form looks very strong. The selection was beaten less than six lengths by Anno Power, who went on to win an 18-runner Cheltenham bumper, so she clearly has the ability to make a successful hurdling debut here.

Panhandle Slim (3.30 Warwick)

Displayed some promise in bumpers including when finishing second to subsequent Cheltenham maiden hurdle winner Cannock Park. The five-year-old also chased home Act Of Authority on his hurdling debut before going one better at Sedgefield on his next start. Act Of Authority went on to win again before finishing sixth of 20 off a mark of 129 in a £100,000 handicap at Sandown's season finale. That suggests Panhandle Slim should be competitive on his handicap debut off a rating of 117 and the step up to 2m5f, the longest trip he has encountered under rules other than his Sedgefield success, should suit.
