Spotlight Lucky 15: four horses to back on Friday
The best four Spotlight tips to include in a Lucky 15 bet today . . .
Kelce 1.02 Hexham
Ex-Irish six-year-old who posted an improved effort when going close at Uttoxeter (2m4f, good; cheekpieces applied) last week on chase debut and second start for new yard; future mark 3lb higher; respected.
Sans Bruit 2.25 Exeter
Smart in France; raced freely as hurdler on initial starts for this yard but has settled down over fences and ran his rivals ragged from the front in the always-strong Red Rum at Aintree in April (2m, soft); may have been feeling those exertions when an eight-length third off 10lb higher at Ayr only nine days later; has impressed his trainer with his recent homework and no doubt has more to offer; all his good form is in the mud but Paul Nicholls, who has won this eight times, knew the score when declaring him.
Wiseguy 3.35 Exeter
Won a competitive novice handicap chase over course and distance last November off 2lb lower (good to soft); didn't progress as expected afterwards (ended up reverting back to hurdles) but the yard had its troubles and he's good enough and young enough to bounce back.
Too Much 6.45 Newcastle
Mile win for James Horton last year; slow start for current stable but she proved a revelation when dropped to 6f here three weeks ago, kicking clear in the final furlong and able to be eased late on (form already franked); up 7lb but unexposed as a sprinter and could be up to the task.
