Yet to add to his 2yo Royal Ascot win in 2022 but he's tumbled down the weights and went very close at Doncaster (6f, good to firm) last month when he had to be switched for a run; back to form when third at Leicester (6f, soft) recently and today's better ground could be a plus; in calculations.

Wonderful Eagle 4.55 Newton Abbot
Dual novice winner here (2m2f/2m5f) at around this time last year and ended 2023 with two very respectable runs in Cheltenham handicaps; seems very versatile regarding ground and reverts to hurdling after winning good-quality Flat handicap last month; must be considered.

Shamran 5.15 Newbury
His two runs on good to firm were far better than his two on AW, all of them over 1m; latest was a clear-cut novice win at Salisbury, drawing clear late on and looking well worth a go at 1m2f; drawn wide today but he's a handicap newcomer with clear potential.

Cognisance 6.45 Kempton
Comfortable winner of a 7f fillies' novice at Redcar on her debut in July; defied a penalty over C&D last month, still looking green but finding plenty and holding off a subsequent winner; she'll need to improve again to maintain her unbeaten record but that seems quite likely.
