Flopped at Royal Ascot on reappearance (his only run on good to firm ground) but has a cracking record in his other four handicaps; stuck to his task most determinedly to get on top close home at York (1m4f, good) three weeks ago; up 5lb but he's progressive and this trip now looks viable.

Magnum Force 3.00 Doncaster
Tongue tied the last twice over 5f on good to firm; won at Cork and would surely have followed up in a Listed race at York had that panned out differently, as he wasn't well drawn and then found traffic issues before bearing down on Tropical Storm late on; has a Middle Park entry and looks decidedly smart.

Sweet William 3.35 Doncaster
Has had headgear and Rab Havlin for all starts; second to Trueshan in this race last year marked his emergence as a Cup horse; produced late with the first-time visor (kept since) over 2m at Sandown in May to win his first Group race and he's shown even better form since in the Gold Cup at Royal Ascot (2m4f) and Goodwood Cup (head in front of Gregory); good chance.

South Parade 5.55 Doncaster
Something of a slow burner but things have really clicked in recent weeks, showing fine speed to win a 6f handicap at Thirsk in good style last month; confirmed herself an improved performer when third in a Racing League event at Newcastle three weeks ago, making the running and only picked off late; the second there has advertised the form since and she could well have more to come; key player.
