Spotlight Lucky 15: four horses to back at Cheltenham on Friday
The best four Spotlight tips to include in a Lucky 15 bet today . . .
What is a Lucky 15?
A Lucky 15 is one of the most popular multiple bets among horseracing punters and the clue is in the name as a Lucky 15 consists of 15 bets on four selections in different events. That equals four singles, six doubles, four trebles and a fourfold accumulator.
The beauty of the Lucky 15 is that only one selection of four must win to guarantee a return and the majority of bookmakers will offer incentives to play the bet.
Whatsupwithyou 1.10 Cheltenham
Looks handicapped about right after three seconds since his Ludlow win last December; therefore, Callum Pritchard taking away 10lb must raise expectations and this is very much his trip (ground also acceptable); endured a wide trip when well beaten in this last year.
Springwell Bay 1.45 Cheltenham
Useful hurdler at up to 3m and scored at this meeting 12 months ago; took well to fences in Listed event at Chepstow (2m3f, good; just pushed out) last month and the third boosted that form when winning the Rising Stars at Wincanton last Saturday; greatly respected.
Valgrand 3.30 Cheltenham
Talented in bumpers (fourth in Aintree's Grade 2) and made it 3-3 over hurdles with a most impressive display at about 2m here three weeks ago (on good), where he set a solid pace up front before quickening clear to beat Gale Mahler without breaking sweat; there's no reason to believe he was remotely flattered; up in trip but already a winner over an extended 2m3f; exciting.
Clap Of Thunder 4.00 Cheltenham
Looked very promising in bumpers last season and quickly bounced back from disappointing hurdle debut when winning quite stylishly at Ascot (1m7f, good) a fortnight ago; can probably improve again in handicaps and features very prominently in calculations.

How to calculate your Lucky 15 returns?
How much your bet returns will depend on how many selections win, and their respective odds. For example, if two of your selections win then you can expect to be paid on on two single bets, and a double of the two selections. If three selections win then you can expect to be paid out on three singles, three doubles and a treble, and so on.
