Saturday's free racing tips: six horses to consider putting in your multiple bets

Saturday's best bets ranked in order of confidence by our top tipsters . . .

Handicappers' nap

City Of York (5.00 Newbury)

Won the mile handicap for three-year-olds on this card last year, and has hit form the same time around this season. Runner-up to a handicap blot at Southwell last time, Silvestre de Sousa's mount is only 1lb higher than for last year's win and recent rain is in his favour.

Eyecatcher

Brooklyn Nine Nine (2.25 Ayr)

Richard Fahey’s four-year-old is lightly raced this season and going back up to 6f seems sure to suit after last time’s eyecatching effort.

The Punt nap

Qitaal (5.20 Chester)

Is just 2lb higher than when making a comfortable winning stable debut for Charlie Johnston in March, despite running well in much better races than this since. He should be suited by the return to this trip and can take advantage of a workable mark dropping into the weakest race he has encountered.

Newmarket nap

Defence Minister (3.15 Newbury)

Fancied to register a hat-trick for Hamad Al Jehani after some smart work on the watered gallop.

Speed figures

Houstonn (2.40 Newbury)

Unsuited by trip and going when running poorly at Ascot last time but has a big chance on figure clocked when second over course and distance in August.

Dark horse

Room Service (3.35 Ayr)

It is better to be drawn high than low here and Room Service comes out of stall 22. He's ultra-low mileage this year and judging by his first run at Newbury in Listed class, he could be a Group horse in a handicap, as the gaps didn't come for him at all the key moments.
