Paul Kealy's play of the day at Newmarket
Sea Of Roses
Last year's winner Time Lock is the one to beat in the Princess Royal Al Basti Equiworld, Dubai Stakes (2.25), but her best form is on a quicker surface, while second favourite Mistral Star has twice been taken out of races due to easy ground, so it's easy to see a minor upset here.
The bet surely has to be Sea Of Roses, who has been withdrawn due to fast ground in the past, but raced to a career best on turf when upsetting Deira Mile on soft ground at Windsor last month.
The runner-up has no problems with easy ground and has since been beaten under two lengths in the St Leger, while fourth-placed Cash was a good third in Listed company next time, so the form is solid enough for a four-runner race, and at least with Sea Of Roses we know she will be in her element.
