Newcastle Placepot tips: Robbie Wilders' selections for the £50,000 guarantee

Only the winner will do in the staying handicap (2.40) that kicks off the Placepot at Newcastle and topweight Get Shirty's class can pull him through. He ran well over 1m4½f here last month and will be at home over an extra four furlongs.

The long-absent What A Question, who pummelled Adaay In Devon on her debut in June last year, will surely win the 7f novice (3.15) with ease if retaining most of her two-year-old ability.

There are plenty with chances in the 6f nursery (3.50). The keen-going Glitter Code is interesting back at a sprinting trip, while 5f has looked too sharp for Bow Street lately and this distance looks optimal.

The Richard Fahey-trained Flying Fletcher was a rampant winner over course and distance in December and appeals most in the 6f handicap (4.25).

Three-year-olds Serenity Dream and Sir Gabrial have a bit to find against older, seasoned handicappers in the following mile contest (5.00), but both give the impression the best is yet to come.

Asadjumeirah is chucked in and gets the vote in the final leg (5.30) after hitting the crossbar off this mark a fortnight ago. However, he finds winning tricky, so the in-form Time Patrol also goes in.
