Nap of the day: the best horse racing tips for the the day's two meetings

Friday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team

Dundalk

4.30: Tomarlo

Not a race of great strength in depth. The consistent Movin And Groovin will appreciate the drop back to this trip. The one to beat is the progressive Tomarlo who will appreciate coming back to 6f after a narrow defeat over 7f in November. Justin O'Hanlon

Newcastle

5.15: Oriental Prince

Most of these are in good form but there is no strong temptation to oppose progressive 4yo Oriental Prince. Jim Goldie's 4yo found one too good when odds-on to complete a hat-trick over 6f here last week but he was nicely clear of the third and today's drop back to 5f is probably in his favour. Thunder Star gave a good account when second over C&D recently and is next on the list, ahead of recent Wolverhampton winner Gustav Graves. Chris Wilson
