Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's two meetings

Fontwell

3.05: Invictus Allen

Guivinec hit a flat spot before keeping on to make the frame in his first three chases and, still unexposed over this sort of trip, he can feature if the first-time blinkers help to keep him focused. However, a safer option is Invictus Allen, who displayed a willing attitude when prevailing on soft ground at Uttoxeter in July and may still have a bigger performance in him. Eurkash flopped when heavily supported for his stable debut but James Owen may yet coax him back to form, and it will be interesting to view his strength in the betting today.

2.15: Law Of Average

The highly progressive front-runner Law Of Average won eased down at Thirsk last month and can defy a 9lb rise. Cloud King may appreciate getting away from Goodwood and, with a strong pace likely, this hold-up horse is feared most for Robert Cowell. His stablemate Fidelius is also better than he showed last time out and is next on the list. Cover Point and Curious Rover could also run well, along with the Nigel Tinkler pair Duran and Make It Easy.
