Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's three meetings

Thursday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team

Ayr

2.50: President Scottie

Topweight President Scottie (nap) is a useful prospect and can get off the mark over fences following his promising chase debut second at Haydock. The mare Fonzerelli ran a really encouraging race over hurdles at Carlisle recently and this point winner is feared most on her first chase start. Hashtag Boum has made a good transition to fences and is next on the list.

3.10: Ask Me Another

While there are scattered positives among their opponents, the three last-time-out winners look the ones to concentrate on. Speiriuil and Rockola, preferred in that order, scored over about this trip at the end of October but it's best to side with Ask Me Another (nap) who returns from nearly nine months off but left a positive impression on her latest outing with the way she surged clear from Rockola at Hereford. That was promising and this longer trip can help.

Newcastle

3.02: Noble Consort

Preference is for Noble Consort (nap), who returned to sprinting with an all-the-way win over C&D two weeks ago. His confidence should be boosted after that breakthrough success and he's still unexposed at this trip. Most of the others come with risks attached but Brazilian Rose still has potential after only five starts and she's feared most on her step back up in trip.
