Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's six meetings

Monday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team . . .

Hereford

4.30: Apples Moon

State Of Honor is a big player if judged on the form of last month's Fontwell success but Apples Moon displayed a big jolt of improvement when winning readily on her recent handicap debut and can overcome a 7lb rise. Morning Fortune and Inchiquin Spirit are others with possibilities. Chris Wilson

Kempton

7.15: Thapa Vc

Top of the list is prolific winner Thapa Vc, who was as good as ever when runner-up behind a major improver over C&D last time. The main threat could come from AW specialist Starshiba, who has been placed in his last two runs and remains well treated on his best form last year. Others who could be dangerous are Strike and Sandy Paradise. David Moon

Musselburgh

3.50: Eminent Jewel

The lightly raced Eminent Jewel is a 3yo on the up and she deserves extra credit for her big-field win at Newcastle last month, as she had to wait for a clear run. Mereside Diva has gone close the last twice and is second choice ahead of Rockymountainway, who bolted up at Carlisle last time. Come On You Spurs is likely to be back on better ground for this hat-trick bid but could still have a part to play. Ben Hutton

Roscommon

3.05: Skontonovski

It is hard to look beyond Skontonovski who routed his rivals at Thurles last week and is still below his AW rating even with 7lb extra. If the ground deteriorates, he might vulnerable to a challenge from Breezy Zoff who has won only once in a 34-race career. Others to consider are last week's Navan third Superior Council and Asisaid, whose first run for Denis Hogan was encouraging. Alan Sweetman

Windsor

3.12: Balmoral Lady

Most of these have chances but Balmoral Lady only made her debut in May and won in the manner of an improver at Bath. Four Adaay is hard to knock and she's second choice ahead of Faustus who will race prominently and probably hang about to be in the thick of it. Alistair Jones

Wolverhampton

4.25: Phoenix Beach

The verdict goes to Phoenix Beach who signalled he is ready to bag a second C&D success when a very good runner-up here last time out. Fellow C&D winner Let's Go Hugo heads the list of dangers with course specialist Aces Wild, in-form maiden Chiedozie and in-form pair Betweenthesticks and Blue Force all in the picture too.
