Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's six meetings

Friday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team . . .

Ascot

5.05: Tareefa

The well-bred filly TAREEFA (nap) could prove to be quite a bit better than this grade and gets the nod ahead of fellow three-year-old Ebt's Guard, who ran a fine race in the Cambridgeshire last Saturday. The unexposed Thyer is third choice.

Dundalk

6.15: Revoke

It's difficult to get away from REVOKE (nap), who made easy work of her debut after coming in for some market support and that form couldn't be working out a lot better. If she comes on for her debut, the Blue Point filly could be hard to beat for a yard in flying form. Recent course-and-distance winner Powerful Nation could be a threat after his course and distance win last time and the British raider Sayidah Dariyan is intriguing after an easy win on Polytrack at Lingfield last month.

Fontwell

3.45: Stream Of Stars

Bottomweight STREAM OF STARS (nap) travelled smoothly before fending off a spirited challenge from the runner-up here last month and still looks well treated after a 6lb rise. Enthused was in career-best form at Plumpton recently but looks a shade vulnerable under his 7lb penalty today, and a bigger threat to the selection may come from Feel The Pinch.

Gowran

4.45: In For The Night

Not many of these make much appeal. L'Un Deux Trois comes here on the back of a good run on the Flat at Down Royal and the stable have been among the winners this week. Preference is for IN FOR THE NIGHT(nap), possibly unlucky in defeat at Galway last month and should take the beating if he stays.

Hexham

4.40: Got Grey

As he is 4lb well in after being put up for his good second at Market Rasen last Saturday, GOT GREY (nap) should prove hard to beat, although the in-form Ashington also commands plenty of respect.

Newcastle

6.00: Greatgadian

Market support for Yokohama would be significant, while Master Richard looks to be on a favourable mark and course winner Light Speed could go well if enjoying more luck than last time. However, GREATGADIAN (nap) has become particularly attractively weighted having dropped 2lb lower than when winning over course and distance a year ago and 7lb lower than when twice narrowly beaten back here in March.
