Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's six meetings

Thursday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team . . .

Lingfield

2.00: Whoop Whoop

Old rivals Nammos and Miss Sunset Strip come into this in good heart, while there may be a bigger effort in Thundering Breeze granted a bit more luck at the start. The vote, however, goes to Whoop Whoop whose record over C&D reads 311. She holds strong claims on her return from a short break. Resonance looks best of the others.

Southwell

6.30: Champagne Prince

This represents a drop in class for Artistic Star and he should make a bold bid to defy his big weight, while Andaleep and Max Mayhem (second choice) also have something to recommend them. Champagne Prince may not have reached his ceiling on the AW just yet though and he can follow up last month's smooth C&D success.

Thurles

1.35 Minella Sixo

A race that revolves around two runners. Mister Pink commands plenty of respect given his connections but Minella Sixo bumped into a very smart horse at Cheltenham last month and his form is standout. Born Bright will need to improve considerably to play a leading role.

Warwick

1.53: Little Miss Dante

She was unable to justify warm favouritism but Little Miss Dante still got her career back on track when third on last month's seasonal/handicap debut at Bangor, and she's probably on a good mark. She is selected ahead of The Lord Maid, who is unbeaten over hurdles, and Georgi Girl, who is unexposed over this sort of trip.

Wincanton

2.50: Getalead

The rejuvenated Getalead ran respectably in the face of a tough task at the weights at Cheltenham last Friday and is able to run off 6lb lower today. He is the selection ahead of last-time-out Plumpton winner Irish Hill. Pyffo is another possible player.

Wolverhampton

6.40: Kitty Furnival

With further improvement plausible, Kitty Furnival is taken to complete a hat-trick. In-form Haku, who has a cracking record over C&D, is feared most. Way Of Life ties in closely with those two rivals, while Lordsbridge Blu is another runner who has respectable recent course form.
