Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's six meetings

Wednesday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team . . .

Bellewstown

5.30: Wisdomofhindsight

A competitive finale but the unexposed Wisdomofhindsight is a fascinating contender. He didn't see out 2m2f at Down Royal last time but he previously went close on heavy ground at Roscommon and he can resume progress. Arch Enemy looks like a big danger back up in trip and Velvet And Vine may appreciate a return to slower conditions.

Catterick

4.30: Garifullina

At a level where there is often inconsistency, it was good to see Garifullina back up her Thirsk success at Redcar. She looked as though she could eke out a bit more in the latter race and is taken to defy a 2lb rise and complete a hat-trick. Her most serious challenger could be Shark Two One, if he can repeat his latest effort, while Too Much Too Young went well here recently and should be thereabouts.

Kempton

5.10: Sedgemoor

This looks extremely competitive with a number of in-form handicappers locking horns. Chalk Mountain (second choice) is thriving and should be well suited by a strongly run race, while his Newbury conqueror State Flag is on the up and Thapa Vc, Crystal Casque, Bell Shot and Inner Temple also have something to recommend them. There are strong grounds for expecting a revived effort from Respectful too but the vote goes to Sedgemoor. Richard Hannon's colt looked miles in front of the handicapper when bolting up at Haydock on his handicap debut and although he was beaten last month, that was on bad ground and after a break. He still brings untapped potential after just five starts.

Musselburgh

5.15: Reel Her In

The ex-Irish Reel Her In shaped well on her recent debut for Ben Haslam when fifth at Newcastle and can build on it here to get off the mark at the chief expense of Redcar scorer Bamboo Bay. C&D winner Rory The Cat, along with in-form pair Strike Rate and Crystal Guard, can also have a say in this open handicap.

Sligo

1.15: Nara

The 4yo weight allowance makes Nara tempting here. She was just about the best of these over hurdles and chances are that she'll jump well. Judicieuse Allen was running a big race when tipping up at the last on chase debut and has been given plenty of time while Faux Fur and Pebble Bleu have an edge in experience. A fine second in a Grade 3 at Roscommon on Monday, A Law Of Her Own will be a big player if showing up.
